Aliens invade the podcast this week, and it causes Drew to forget the introduction format (apparently we don’t have names now). Our alien overloads also caused us to discuss their Earth domination plans, which are made clear in the new Wii shooter, The Conduit.

And I, for one, welcome our new alien overlords. I’d like to remind them that as a trusted podcast personality, I can be helpful in rounding up others to toil in their underground sugar caves. (obligatory Simpsons joke).

The message from the extraterrestrial sponsors is available from the link below. The message is cleverly disguised as a fantastic somewhat-weekly video game podcast.

You Shall Not Cast – Episode 4(b)

We also discuss the merits of keyblades when compared to chainsaws. We revisit the Pacific Theater in Battlefield 1943, and go cartoony in Battlefield: Heroes. We offend everyone Down Under with our Australian accents. We talk old PC games, be it city building games, RTS games or board game ports. We talk point-and-click games and their wonderful fit with the Wii. Alex has a nerdgasm when he discusses Monster Hunter on PSP. Alex has mob flashbacks when he chokes random henchmen on the Wii, but can’t hack the mob life when he fails to micro-manage. Alex… well… he keeps going, with talk about Terminator: Salvation, Bionic Commando, his man-crush on Capcom, iPhone gaming and Rock Band 2.

Alex also takes over the video game news section, where he talks about Mass Effect 2, Calling, Nathan Fillion in Halo ODST, Command and Conquer 4, the adventures of Scurvy Pete, Guitar Hero 5, Mario Galaxy 2, Resident Evil 5 on Wii, Wii Motion Plus, the Summer of Fighters, and probably more I missed. It’s a long episode.

Check it out! And check below to see that illustrious YouTube video of Alex getting his shit knocked in Rock Band 2. Laugh at his unpleasantness!

Music used in today’s podcast is from the song “Bliss”, by Muse, off the Origin of Symmetry album.

Do you love gigantic, shape-shifting metallic aliens from beyond the stars? Excellent! In that case, you’ll love our review of The House Bunny!

Oh, we also talk about this one movie you might have heard of… Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. It’s doing OK at the box office. I guess.

At any rate, you should totally listen to the latest episode of the audio-orgy known as You Shall Not Cast; available now at the link below.

YSNC – Episode 4A

Pat, Alex and Drew also talk about The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Moon, The Brothers Bloom, a shitload of movies available on Netflix Watch Instantly, and a bizarre robo-human relationship with Robin Williams. Then Pat and Drew derail the podcast, and Alex makes light of it by quoting Dane Cook.

We also talk about last week’s Box Office Breakdown, movie news (including who the Green Lantern will be, Spider-Man 4’s third writer, a feature-length Thanksgiving film, and the third installment in a spectre-fighting franchise), and movies we’re looking forward to.

And that’s not all! We need YOUR HELP!

Listeners! We also have a couple of questions we need answered. Please answer in the comments section below:

1) If you have to be stranded alone with a robot voiced by Robin Williams, would you a) enjoy it, or b) want to kill yourself? And if you would want to kill yourself, who would be the better substitute?

2) What show is Alex talking about where some girl loses her memory?

(Ed. Note: since the recording of this podcast, the following facts have been confirmed:

1) Ryan Renyolds will play Green Lantern in the upcoming Warner Brothers film.

2) The Hangover’s budget was roughly $35 mil, and has grossed over $300 mil worldwide. Hot. Shit.)

The song used at the intro and outro of this podcast is “Hysteria” by Muse, off the album Absolution, which you can find on Amazon.com.

You were patient with our delays, our excuses and our endless whoring on Twitter.

Now, you shall be rewarded! Episode 2* is finally here after over a month-long hiatus. The reasons for our delays between episodes one and two were numerous… but to eloquently sum it up, let’s just say “Finals Suck”.

Now that school is over, our schedules are more steady, and two of us are graduated (hurray!), our episodes should be much, much more timely in the future. Please believe us! Now onto this week’s episode…

You Shall Not Cast – Episode 2

This week, the mighty podcasters will discuss J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek, Star Wars: Episodes 1-3, Drew’s “Racial Intolerance Week” (Amistad, Crash, Hotel Rwanda), Box Office Wrap-Up, Jack Sparrow as Frank Sinatra, Kevin Smith’s new project (again), character analysis of Mighty Ducks, a new director for Conan,  Keanu Reeves playing two roles exactly the same in the same movie, and (a lack of) excitement for Angels and Demons.

On the gaming side, we discuss exploring the Capitol Wasteland in Fallout 3, re-visiting Mirror’s Edge, disc read errors 50 hours into a game, the appeal of flocking virtual sheep, playing with (rag)dolls, Commandos of the bionic variety, downloadable games, awesome trailers with shit, awesome trailers with horses, Modern Warfare 2 vs. hating freedom, a fond farewell to Rogue Squadron, and some gabbin’ about JRPGs.

Our intro/break/outro music is Night Lies by Bang Camaro

*You may be confused why the show is introduced as Episode 3 instead of Episode 2. Well, due to technical difficulties, Episode 2 was not able to be edited properly, and Episode 3 became Episode 2. Sometime down the line Episode 2 (now called Episode 1.5: The Lost Episode) may be made available.

As you will soon figure out, we are huge Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans. I personally have dreams of living in a sewer with mutated turtles eating pizza and jumping on one foot screaming, “Ow…my toe my toe!” after they step on a nail.

Now I won’t have to hunt down a Super Nintendo to play Turtles in Time as a remake is in the works for XBLA (possibly the PSN and WiiWare too).

Check out the video below for some footage of the game.

I’m glad it looks like the original gameplay is being preserved. The visuals are also looking really nice.
